Kevin Cholerton and his live band Benskuba have redefined the music genre. Kevin followed his lifelong dream of music, starting to tour live in the 80s. He played with a group called Mad Shadows. With his musical talent, the band won the UNO award for the best-unsigned band. Kevin’s guitar and vocal skills were heard across Canada, gaining him a large fanbase.

Kevin spent many decades touring across Canada with various bands, including Benskuba. Kevin’s music is unique in that he believes it writes itself. It begins with new notes on the guitar and turns into a songwriting masterpiece. There is no formula for what Kevin writes, only an honest heart and mindset.

Kevin is working on a new release set to be out in March2021. Kevin has written many songs during his career, and three stand out the most. “Talk to yourself again” is about being rejuvenated after a personal rut, which most people can relate to. “In this land” is a track about being happy wherever you are. “Soul man” is about attracting people in our lives that affect us, either good or bad. Kevin strongly cites David Gilmore, and the Edge has had the largest impact on his music.

Kevin has great plans for both his solo career and touring with Benskuba. He has an album planned for release and hopes once that COVID calms down, he can tour with the band again and wow his fans with his songs.
